World Cruise 2013: Day 90 - Johannesburg to Livingstone, Zambia

We got up, had breakfast at 6:30 AM and left at 7:30 AM for a 10:40 AM flight to Livingstone, Zambia. Because we were leaving South Africa we had to go to customs and then we also had to go thru the normal procedures to get on the airplane. When we arrived in Livingstone we had to go thru immigration and pay an $80 immigration fee. When we got this completed we met our tour guide and left to check in at the Royal Livingstone hotel. On the way to the hotel we stopped for our first view of the Zambezi River with the falls in the background. When we got to the hotel we had lunch and at 3 PM we took a tour of the falls. We left the bus and walked upstream for a view and walked backed down some steps to see the falls from the backside. We stopped at several places to take pictures and we got to a point that we put on raincoats and took off our shoes and put on some shoes at the stop. We walked down some more steps and the mists were so great that I had to put my camera in the bag under the raincoat. Some of the group went across a bridge where they got wet but since I could not take any pictures and it also required going down a series of wet steps I did not go. When the rest of the group came back from the bridge we walked up, took off our raincoats and returned to the bus to go back to the hotel.

At 4:30 PM we left on a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River.
