Today the ship arrived off the shore of Georgetown, Ascension
Island at 10 AM. No tours were scheduled for this Island and I was about to
leave to get on a tender for a trip to the shore when the Captain got on the
intercom and announced that all tenders in the water would return to the ship
and all tender operations are cancelled. The reason was that the crew on the
first tender could not get off the tender because of high waves at the
dock.
